JACOB HALPIN VISITS WITH THE BLUES

On 22 April 09, Jacob Halpin, of Orange Beach, visited the Home of the Blue Angels Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron at Sherman Field onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola. Jacob was welcomed and given the Blue Angels VIP treatment.

After the air show Jacob met with the Blue Angels aviators and had his photo taken with the team next to the Squadron Commander's Number 1 aircraft.

Jacob attended Gulf Shores High School in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and is the only high school varsity athlete with Down syndrome to have earned All-State honors. He also was the first swimmer from the United States to hold world records through the Down Syndrome International Swimming Organization based in Berkshire, England.
